Nowadays, it seems like many of our favorite celebrities are mothers already or becoming mothers for the first time. From the Academy Award-winning actress to the First Lady, many of these women deal with the day-to-day demands of motherhood with grace and style. Whether it’s taking the kids to karate lessons or a play date at the park, these mothers do a fantastic job balancing motherhood with the many other demands in their lives, and that’s why we admire them.

Jennifer Garner, “Alias” star and wife of Oscar-winner Ben Affleck, wears motherhood nicely. Although part of a high-profile couple, the mother of three is never far from her children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. Despite paparazzi always swarming, Garner and her family seem oblivious to the attention as they spend their days like any other family, with trips out to eat, playtime at the park, beach or skating rink, a friend’s birthday party, visits to the hair salon and karate lessons. Wherever the Affleck-Garner trio are, Mama Garner is sure to be nearby beaming with pride.

4 Sandra Bullock

Academy Award-winner Sandra Bullock is another celebrity mom we can’t help but admire. Despite her marriage to “Outlaw Garage” star Jesse James falling apart over allegations of multiple affairs, Bullock didn’t let that stop her from becoming a mother. In 2010, only months after the breakup, Bullock adopted a beautiful baby boy named Louis and never looked back. She credits her son, who she affectionately calls her “Cajun cookie” according to E! Online, for helping her survive that dark time in her life and move past the humiliation and pain she felt. Nowadays, she’s all smiles as she raises her son, choosing Los Angeles as their home base so he sees “every color under the sun.” Bullock travels with Louis often, and the duo is frequently seen out and about spending quality time together.

3 Heidi Klum

Another celebrity mom with a village of her own is none other than supermodel and entrepreneur Heidi Klum. The “Project Runway” host and “America’s Got Talent” judge is a mother to four children, two girls, Leni and Lou, and two boys, Henry and Johan. Although no longer married to British singer Seal, Klum continues to be a hands-on mom who spends the majority of her down time with her kids. She can often be seen frolicking with her children at the local park or beach or taking in a night of theater. Like the other mothers on our list, Klum often takes her kids on trips abroad and encourages their artistic side with art projects and regular trips to the neighborhood art studio.

2 Angelina Jolie

As if being an Academy Award-winning actress, humanitarian and insanely gorgeous human being wasn’t enough, Angelina Jolie also manages to be a great hands-on mother to her brood of six: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. With long-time partner actor Brad Pitt, Jolie can often be seen with her kids jet-setting from one continent to the next, attending a movie premiere, taking a family walk to the neighborhood market, enjoying a day at the museum or simply having a play date with friends. If not promoting a film or having a date night with Pitt, Jolie can always be found with her kids.

1 Michelle Obama

When it comes to celebrity moms, First Lady Michelle Obama is perhaps the most admired mom of all. While the Princeton University and Harvard Law grad is accomplished in her own right, she still manages to exude class, grace and a natural likability as she navigates between being a wife, public servant and Mommy-in-Chief. Although under constant scrutiny and attention, the First Lady has managed to keep her young daughters, Malia and Sasha, grounded as they grow up in the public eye. Malia’s and Sasha’s “First Daughters” status doesn’t get them out of chores, homework or bedtime. However, the Obamas make sure to balance a strict and loving household with a healthy dose of family time, which includes bringing the girls along on trips across the country and abroad whenever possible.
